People typically are sad when an old school building closes it's doors for good to students, but the Marietta Times pointed out some real benefits in a recent article about two school closings in their community. In a nut shell, it is all about reuse not tearing down the buildings. If a school district sees the time has come to close a school, with no hopes for the future of using it again - SELL it. Never let it be destroyed through lack of maintenance. These historical buildings need to be preserved as a rememberance of the past, but also because they can do so much for the future.
